Tasting Notes
80% of cancer patients report that treatments alter their sense of taste, turning once-loved foods into unpleasant experiences — too salty, too sweet, metallic, or entirely flavorless. This not only robs them of the joy of eating but also makes it harder to get the vital nutrients they need to fight cancer. Despite these challenges, there are few engaging, accessible resources to guide patients through this struggle. So we created the first ever video-based recipe platform designed to help cancer patients adapt to taste changes.
It makes it normal for these patients that are going through this. It’s like entertainment.

Our client’s oncology franchise partnered with Chef Grant Achatz, the 3-Michelin Star Chef and cancer survivor who lost his sense of taste after treatment, to create Tasting Notes.
Alongside a registered dietitian specializing in oncology, the platform transforms culinary expertise, nutritional science, and firsthand taste-loss experience into engaging entertainment for patients suffering from taste changes. And results far exceeded expectations, building a community of fans who not only engaged with the content, but downloaded the cookbook, watched every video, and came back for seconds.
